SPIRITUAL
It is CRITICAL for disciples of Yeshua to engage in spiritual fitness, prayer, fasting, and meditation.
How to be Spiritually Grounded
Here are the best ways the founders of the CITADEL have found to remain spiritually grounded according to the Torah/Bible and personal experience.
Study
Wrestling with the text is the number one way we have been changed. Understanding the history, the context, the people and events surround the text when it was written is beyond important. Torah Class by Tom Bradford and Torah Study from First Fruits of Zion have been immensely helpful in this respect. But studying- daily if possible- has been of the most benefit.
Community
A strong godly community is also critical to remaining spiritually and biblically grounded. That is what the CITADEL is here for. To provide disciples of Yeshua a place to have that community and to discuss and encourage each other.
Prayer
Prayer is critical. Not the typical "Please give me this" prayer, but the sort of prayer where you are in G-d's presence and allowing Him to change you.
Meditation
Meditating daily on His Word is also important. In Deuteronomy it says "Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." His Word should always be at the forefront of our minds.
Fasting
Taking time to avoid things you know either distract you or harm your relationship with G-d is necessary and critical. Originally the founders of the CITADEL wanted to avoid encouraging outright fasts of social medias, but the truth is that Instagrams, YouTube's, and other site's algorithms are driving people into mental health crises. So fasting is absolutely needed and we recommend you try it.

Andrew has recorded some guided meditations. To be honest- they're not amazing... yet. But they are there to show you how he prays and meditates before G-d.
